This is a must see for fans of horror and horror F/X. Streaming on NETFLIX as of the date of this post, FANTASTIC FLESH takes the viewer on a small journey through the world of special effects make up and the progression of it through the years. While it's not the "end all, beat all" history, it does hit on some major milestones, reviews the changes over the years, and has interviews with some of the heavy hitters of the industry to date including Tom Savini, Dick Smith and Greg Nicotero.
FLESH looks briefly back into the history of makeup effects and the likes of Lon Chaney and Jack Pierce, moves along through past efforts and where things are now, and even has Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, John Landis and Joe Dante give little stories about makeup and F/X in their films.
