Can anyone just explain what I just saw? :::grin:::
Le orme aka FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON from 1975 is a strange one for sure.
So art-house it hurts, FOOTPRINTS tells the story of....uh....I'll let IMDB tell you....
A woman is tormented by strange dreams of astronauts on the moon. She visits a deserted seaside town whose inhabitants know her even though she does not know them.
Yup...that happened. I mean, it's an interesting film for sure. The way it's shot holds one's attention. However...it's just friggin WEIRD. Like...off the charts weird - even for a giallo. But, I never once fast forwarded or had the desire to, so that's something.
On top of some beautiful cinematography and a bonkers story line, it has the striking Florinda Bolkan in the lead from A Lizard in a Woman's Skin and Don't Torture a Duckling, the wild Klaus Kinski, and the ever creepy Nicoletta Elmi when she was a child before she became the ever sexy Nicoletta Elmi as an adult in DEMONS and the like. hehehe
Have you seen this? If so...let me know in the comments what your take away was!
